Lonnie Lewis Crabtrey of Grapevine, Arkansas was born September 4, 1931 in North Little Rock, the son of the late Harvey Edward and Gertrude Joslin Crabtrey. Lonnie worked for Ford Motor Company as a parts man for 17 years and then retired from ABF after 22 years. He was a Deacon at Hedden Chapel Assembly of God. Lonnie was also a Mason, and was active with Woodmen of the World. Mr. Crabtrey had a custom train set that traveled around the ceiling of his home. He enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels (having over 5000 in his collection), clowns, and postage stamps.
Lonnie died Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Saline Memorial Hosptial in Benton at the age of 89.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Crabtrey.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Hampton Crabtrey of the home; sons, Lonnie Ray Crabtrey of Grapevine and Randall Lee (Kathy) Crabtrey of Little Rock; daughter, Susan D. (Mark) Boyer of Grapevine; nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and one great great grandchild on the way; and numerous family and friends.
PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE: DUE TO THE WEATHER, THE FAMILY HAS CHANGED THE FUNERAL SERVICE. THE NEW UPDATED INFORMATION IS THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 25 AT 2:00 P.M. WITH VISITATION AT 1:OO P.M. PRIOR at Hedden Chapel Assembly of God in Grapevine. Burial will follow at Hedden Chapel Cemetery.
