Lorene Haynes of East End, Arkansas went to her maker on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. She was born Opal Lorene Reed Haynes, daughter of the late Coy E. Reed and Winnie Lowry Reed and she was married to W.R. (Peck) Haynes who predeceased her.
Lorene has two sons, Dickie Haynes of East End and Gene Haynes of Houston, Texas. She had one brother, Buddy Reed of East End (deceased) and a sister-in-law Betty Wiser Reed of East End and a sister, Donnie Reed Brooks and her husband H.K. Brooks of Conway. She is also survived by a niece, Lana Brooks McCormick of Conway and a nephew Tony Reed and wife Deena of East End as well as a brother-in-law, Sam Haynes and wife Audrey along with sister-in-law, Rosa Lou Haynes Scott who reside in East End.
She also has four grandchildren, Stephanie, Marc, Robyn and C. and six great grandchildren.
Lorene was a charter member of East End Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star and Golden Hearts Sunday School Class at church.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 19, 2009 at East End Baptist Church with Bro. Eddie Ashley, Bro. Jess Whitley and Bro. Ron Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery in East End. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan.
Lorene and her sons have selected the following pallbearers; Ab Garner, Billy Bob Winbury, Charles Goode, Clayton Caple, Tommy Reed, J.D. Reed, Jim Crone, James Matthews, Eddie Poe and Jerry Carlton.
