Gladys Loretta Roberts Main of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 29, 1962 in Jefferson, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Luther Elvis Roberts and Dorothy Ponnee Roberts.
She was a member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church and was known around town as "the fried chicken lady" for the great chicken she made at Mad Butcher Deli, where she worked. Loretta enjoyed fishing and all things outdoors, but hands down, her favorite pastime was mowing her yard. She was a loving wife, mother, and "Maw-Maw", and her family was her world. No matter how she was feeling, with her smile and loving heart, Loretta could always make your day brighter.
Loretta died Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, after a sudden illness, at the age of 52. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel and a brother, Elvis.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Jeff Main of Sheridan; son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Wendy Cummings of Sheridan; daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Kyle Valance of Sheridan; grandchildren, Madison, Hannah, Garrett, and Brayden; mother-in-law, Betty Main of Pine Bluff; 5 brothers, 3 sisters, and a host of other family members and countless numbers of friends, and we can't forget to mention her faithful dog, Scout.
