Carolyn Lucille Saunders Mason of Little Rock, Arkansas was born September 11, 1929 at Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Jimmy and Effie Allen Saunders. She formerly attended Archview Baptist Church and loved horse racing and bingo.

Mrs. Mason died, Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Sheridan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 79. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, "Little Eddie" Mason.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, George E. Mason, Sr. of Little Rock; Son, Eddie and wife Marilyn Mason of Jefferson; Daughters, Dianne and husband Rick Jones of Hensley, Kaye and husband Tim Simpson of Little Rock and Paula Randle of Sherwood; Grandchildren, Ricky Jones, Kara Maack, Kyle Simpson, Kim Smith, Daniel Vermillion, Matt Vermillion and Anna Holland; Great grandchildren, Ryne Horton, Justin Crews and Carter Maack.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Bethel Cemetery in the Ico Community, north of Sheridan. Visitation will be prior to the funeral service Saturday, from 11:00 AM. until 12:30 P.M. at the funeral home.

Following the service, the family will receive friends at the home of Tim and Kaye Simpson, 10 Lynnwood Drive in the Landmark Community.
