Lucion "Gordy" Gordon of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 26, 1920 at Jacksonville, Arkansas the son of the late George and Lottie Nancy Jennings Gordon. He was a Veteran having served in the Army Air Corp. during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. During his time in the Military, he was a helicopter mechanic for the President of the United States. After retiring from the military, he worked as a helicopter mechanic for Loma Linda Hospital and for Western Helicopter both in California.
Mr. Gordon died Saturday, May 15, 2004 at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Beatrice Newcomb Gordon and his Daughter, Pat Skolnick.
Survivors include his sisters, Marie Boyd of Fallon, Nevada and Geraldine Williams of North Little Rock. He is also survived by a special niece and caregiver, Jean McGhee of Sheridan and a host of nieces and nephews spanning five generations.
