Lyndell Hamilton Harper of Sheridan, Arkansas was born April 5, 1914 at Sheridan, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Troy Gwin Hamilton. She attended First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan where she was a part of the Grace Sunday School Class. Mrs. Harper was also a retired bookkeeper for Simmons Bank in Pine Bluff.
Mrs. Harper died Thursday, November 23, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 92. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Harper; Brother, Gwin Gordon; Sisters, Lois Reese and Ruby Lee Holloway; Niece, Meliana Gibbs-Talbert.
Survivors include:
Nephews: Gordon Reese of Pine Bluff and David Holloway of Sheridan.
Nieces: Betty Hicks and Linda Brewer both of Sheridan.
9 Great nieces and nephews and 15 Great Great nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M.-2:45 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 402 West Center, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150 or Grant County Museum, 521 Shackleford Road, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150. Pallbearers: Eddy Hicks, Jeff Hicks, Ellis Johnson, Darrell Kellebrew, Brock Hesse, Shannon Talbert, Clyde Smith and John Reese. Honorary Pallbearers: Elbert Deer and Charlie Hesse.
