Mabel Jones Doan, age 79, of Sheridan died Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Baptist Health and Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born December 31, 1938, in London to Roy Asberry and Mary Estella Sims Jones.

She was a member of Broadmoor Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff and a member of the London Extension Home Makers.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Arnold Doan; three brothers, Riley Thomas, Winfred E. and Kenneth Ray Jones.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ellen Reeves of Booneville; a sister, Marvilene Jones Baker of Grapevine; a grandson, David Reeves of South Carolina; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Sam Griffin officiating. Burial will be in East Point Cemetery and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Sam Griffin officiating.
