Madie was the cherished daughter of the late Robert Alton and Thelma (Fite) Lisenbey, and her
life was filled with warmth, talent, and generosity. A gifted artist, she poured her creativity into
painting, woodworking, and crafting, leaving behind treasures that will be cherished for
generations. Madie was also a skilled seamstress who lovingly sewed countless creations, each
stitch a reflection of her care and dedication to those she held dear.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Maurice Edwin Herrington,
who passed on May 8, 2018, as well as her brothers Bennie and Fred, her sister Elizabeth, and
her grandson Cody. Her legacy of love and strength lives on through her daughters: Carolyn
Loredo (Hilario) of Star City, Renee Newman (Dennis) of Farmington, Maureen Hanson (Andy)
of Sheridan, Karen Lemons (David) of Donaldson, Katrina Meek (Kevin) of Star City, and bonus
son Scotty Warren (Barbara) of Sheridan. She is also survived by her brother, Carol Lisenbey, of
Washington; her 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, her
namesake; her loyal dog, Chomper; and a host of extended family and friends who will deeply
miss her presence.
Pallbearers honoring Madie's life and memory include her grandsons: Joshua Reeves, Jared
and Casey Hanson, Corey Meek, Rio Loredo, Connor, Tristan, and Collin Lemons, and Logan
