Obituary

Margaret Poole Morehouse of Sheridan, Arkansas was born June 6, 1932 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of the late A.A. and Rosa Lee Moore Poole. She was a member of North Main Baptist Church in Sheridan. She enjoyed singing in trios and in church, as well as, ministering and witnessing, alongside her husband, at the Sheridan and Malvern jails and in prison ministries. She was known to recite scriptures to the inmates. She was a "Mother" to many women and nursing home residents. Margaret loved Jesus dearly.

In her earlier years, she was in the ROTC and was a cheerleader alongside her twin sister.

She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a Godly example to them and to everyone she came in contact with.

Mrs. Morehouse went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock at the age of 84.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, and her grandson, Scott O' Steen.

She is survived by her best friend, husband and caregiver of 65 years, Norman E. Morehouse, Sr. of Sheridan; daughter, Connie Lynn Butler of Gresham, Oregon; son, Norman E. Morehouse, Jr. of DeWitt; 2 grandchildren, Nancy and husband Jason Dunnahoo, Emily Morehouse; great grandchildren, Alainna, Ryan, Colin, Pixie, Sarah, and Dalton and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 1, 2017 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
