Marguerite Evalee Ellis Adams of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 18, 1921 in Prague, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late George Lee and Myrtle Gravitt Ellis. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sheridan, enjoyed traveling and bus tours, as well as doing needlepoint and crochet work. She was formerly a member of Sheridan EHC and in her younger days, she skated in the Roller Derby in Oklahoma.

Ms. Adams died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab Center at the age of 91.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Q. Adams, an infant daughter, Shirley Lea Adams and a son, Leslie Jay Adams.

Survivors: Daughter, Lynn Morris and husband Lee of Sheridan; son, Lee Adams and wife Ann of Perryville; grandchildren, Mandy Porter and husband Edgar, Kristy Sirmans and husband Tim, Angie Drennan and husband Adam, and Katie Johnson and husband Jason; great grandchildren, Kendall Lucas, Kamryn Porter, Kayden Porter, Ashlyn Drennan, Landon Drennan, Wyatt Drennan, Ray Johnson and Sam Johnson.

A time of visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 A.M. officiated by Rev. Ernest Desoto. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Sheridan's building fund or food pantry, 1201 South Rock, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
