Marilyn Jean Whitmire Elder of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 20, 1944 in Michigan, the daughter of the late Basil and Virginia Reardon Whitmire. She was a graduate of Sheridan High School and was retired from Southwestern Bell. She enjoyed family, and spending time with great nieces, and great nephews.

Ms. Elder died Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab at the age of 80.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Croy.

Survivors; sister, Linda Shepherd of Sheridan and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

At her request, she there will be no service.
