Marilyn Thirion Griffith of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 26, 1944 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. On January 26, 2011 Heaven gained an angel in the form of the loving wife of Robert Griffith. Marilyn and Robert were married November 1, 1963 and were inseparable for 47 wonderful years.

Marilyn was a member of the Sheridan Ladies Golf Association and The Sheridan Golf Club. She was an avid golfer and made her first Hole in One in 2010.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Minnie Thirion, sisters, Cecelia Thirion and Barbara Welsh, brothers, Eugene Thirion, Clarence Thirion, and Larry Thirion.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Robert, brother; Charles Thirion III (Loretta), sisters; Nita Markley (John), Mary Scruggs (Carl), brother/sister-in-law, Paul and Pat Griffith, brother-in-law, J.W. Griffith. She is also survived by her beloved Domino and a host of nieces, nephews, family and numerous friends.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4 – 6 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, January 31, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Bro. Arlis East and Bro. Michael Walton. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Cabot.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Shepherd, Phillip Graves, Tim Wagner, Cole Davis, Bill Fiser and Ken Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Shepherd and Jim Servogel.
