, 2021 at Baptist Health in Little Rock at the age of 74 surrounded by her family. Marilyn was a member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church where she dearly loved her close relationships with the ladies of her FROG

School class, her work in Cubbies and her many years with Awanas.
Marilyn was a graduate of Fordyce High School and Capitol City Business College. Her early employment years were spent doing business office work. For twenty three years, she and her husband owned and operated Nooner's Grocery in Sheridan. Marilyn obtained her Broker's license and devoted thirty two years to a profession she loved selling Real Estate with Action Realty until her retirement. Marilyn was a member of Zeta Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sisterhood for over fifty years and treasured each of their friendships.
Marilyn loved her husband and all her family with all her heart and looked forward to cooking for them especially during the holidays and spending those special times together. One of her favorite past times was strolling through their flower garden and bird sanctuary her husband worked so hard to create and keep beautiful.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Jonathan "Johnny" Wayne Nooner, a brother Walter Benton, an infant sister Margaret Betty Benton, a niece Tammy Benton and a precious step-mom Marie Benton.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 55 years R.J. Nooner of Sheridan; son Glynn an d daughter-in-love Misty Nooner of Sheridan; granddaughters Shandy Nooner and Erynn Nooner, grandson Blayke Nooner, brothers Ray (Vicky) Benton and Sammy Benton, all of Texarkana, sister Sandy Benton of Texarkana and sister-in-law Annette Benton of Sheridan plus a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M.
Friday, October 1
, 2021 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel with Bro. Shawn Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
Pallbearers are Blayke Nooner, Kevin Clark, Joe Benton, Clay Benton, Casey Reed, and Blake Stroud. Honorary Pallbearers are Johnathan Funderburg and Austin McClure.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
