Marion Ione Canfield DeBin of Carthage, Arkansas was born February 2, 1934 at La Habra, California, the daughter of the late Merton Ralph and Gertrude Ione White Canfield. She was a member of Carthage Missionary Baptist Church, and was a retired teacher. She had a heart for animals, and for many years, helped feed as many as she could.

Mrs. DeBin died Monday, February 15, 2021 at her home, at the age of 87. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse DeBin; daughter, Dorothea Wallace; sister, Dorothea Watson; and a grandson, Joshua Withrow.

Survivors include her daughter, Diana Craven of Carthage; son, Miles Wallace; 4 grandchildren, Sarah Foshee (David), Jesse Wallace (Megan), Malea Patterson (Steven), Destiny Pardue (Jon); 3 great grandchildren, Paxton Wallace, Kristen Patterson, Dawson Withrow, and 1 great great grandson, Sebastian James Pardue.

She was a great lady who cared about everyone. She loved her family, friends, students, and all animal. She loved to hunt, and fish and crochet. Most of all she loved Christ, and lived her life in the light of faith.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, February 26, 2021 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan, with Bro. William Wallace, Bro. Doyle Caldwell and her granddaughter, Malea Patterson speaking. Visitation is from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery near Carthage.

Due to Covid-19, wearing of masks and social distancing are required.
