Marshall Lee Darnell of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 27, 1937 in Sheridan, Arkansas the son of the late John Marshall and Roberta Lee Harper Darnell. He was a member of Social Hill Missionary Baptist Church, a retired truck driver and a member of the Sheridan Masonic Lodge 260.
Mr. Darnell died Saturday, May 24, 2014 at The Crossing Assisted Living Center in Malvern at the age of 76.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Faye Hamilton Darnell; brothers, Russell Darnell, John L. Darnell; daughter, Roberta Faye Mason and a grandson, Marshall Ockerman.
Survivors: son, Edgar Lee Darnell and wife Glenda of Leola; daughter, Catherine Picklesimer and husband Tony of Bauxite, sister, Jean Jones of Sheridan; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Moore's Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Bill Williams and Pastor Lindsey Saenz officiating.
Pallbearers are Bill Webb, Bobby Hollingshead, David Hollingshead, Rick Matthews, B. T. Walker, Tom Hess, Stephen Poe and Edmond Darnell.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home.
