Martha Baxley Crouse of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 3, 1946 at Little Rock, Arkansas the daughter of the late Brian J. and Lois Parson Baxley.  She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.  Martha, also known as "Mott", alongside her family, owned and operated Mott's Restaurant for many years.  They were well known for their food and hospitality.

Mrs. Crouse died Friday, August 4, 2023 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton at the age of 76.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Crouse; a sister and brother-in-law, Katheryn and Ed Stone; brother, Carl Baxley.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Raymond J. Crouse of Sheridan; Son, Andrew Crouse of Frisco, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Louis Rainey of El Dorado. She is also survived by numerous other family members, her church family, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Danny Hill officiating.  Burial will be in Bethel (South) Cemetery.  Visitation is Tuesday, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
