Obituary

Martha Clement Lowman of Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, formerly of Pine Bluff, Arkansas was born April 24, 1943 in Pine Bluff, the daughter of the late Lavon and Audra Ashcraft Clement. She was a lifelong member of Pine Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Grapevine where she had served as Secretary/Treasurer of the church and the church session.

She was past president of Arkansas Ceramics Association, and a member of White Sulphur Lodge, District #17 Eastern Star. She was an exceptionally talented lady, from singing at nursing homes and in the Clement Quartet, to teaching painting and ceramic classes. She was an avid portrait painter and crafter.

She was also a loving caregiver to her family, neighbors, community, church family and friends.

Ms. Lowman died Monday, June 10, 2019 at her home in Mississippi at the age of 76.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Alpha Helvey, Jr. and Euell Lowman; her beloved brother, Sherland Lavon "Bub" Clement and her sister, Nancy Wafford.

Survivors: son, Marcus Helvey of Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi; brothers, Keith and wife Susan Clement, Robert and wife Beverly Clement all of Grapevine; granddaughter, Abigail Helvey of Richmond, Kentucky and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 14, 2019 at Pine Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Grapevine with Rev. Barbara Brewer and Steve Gentry officiating. Burial will follow at Clement Cemetery in Grapevine. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00-10:00 A.M.

Pallbearers are Justin Clement, Martin Clement, Charles Clement, Daryl Wafford, Lance Perry, and Jeremiah Austin. Honorary pallbearer is Christopher Keith Clement.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clement Cemetery Association, c/o Robert Clement, 1816 Grant 192, Grapevine, Arkansas 72057.
