Martha John Shelby Lunsford of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 10, 1942 in Warren, the daughter of the late John and Clara Slaughter Shelby. She was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed painting, and babysitting her grandchildren. Everyone knew Martha as the life of the party and she loved visiting and talking to people.

Martha died Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at her home at the age of 80.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kidd Lunsford; son, Jimmy Trenton Lunsford and a sister, Amanell Valentine.

Survivors: daughter, Donna Crutchfield (Calvin) of Little Rock, sons, Vernon Reed, Jr. (Christy) of Malvern, Bill Lunsford (Tammy) of Sheridan, Ronnie Lunsford of Little Rock; ; brothers, Jimmy Shelby (Nancy) of Herbine, Larry Shelby (Angela) of Texas; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. David Lepard officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:30 until service time.
