IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Martha
Turner
October 15, 1946 – August 7, 2021
Martha Sue May Turner, 75, of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 15, 1946 at Lake Village, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Homer L. May and Marie Pharr May Hopper. She was a Baptist and operated a daycare for several years. The absolute joy of Martha's life was her family. Every happy memory of her life was made with her family, and there were lots of those happy times. She loved her husband, and wanted to spend as much time with him as possible, from camping, to just riding around deer camp. Her kids and grandkids brought her so much joy and she was always a very active part of their lives. However, she did find time every day for her soap operas.
Her love for her family went both ways, and she died peacefully, Saturday, August 7, 2021, at her home, surrounded by all of them. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, June Wright and Dimple Cooler, and a brother, Buddy May.
Survivors include her husband and best friend for 56 years, Charles Turner of Sheridan; daughters and sons-in-law, Tina McDaniel of Hot Springs, Pam and Mike Humphries of Sheridan, and Charlie and Brian Warner of Marshall, Texas; brother, Ronnie May (Sherry) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; sisters, Carolyn Springer of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Janie Sampolesi (Tim) of Lake Village, Arkansas; grandchildren, Chris Hicks, Holly Litzsey, Hunter Humphries (Miranda), Hayden Taylor (Zach), Austin Williford (Brooklyn), Bailey Williford; great grandchildren, Braylon, Brooklon, Tristin, Talen, Henley, Hudson, Grayson, Berklee, Spencer. She is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation is also Wednesday, from 10:00-11:15 A.M. at the funeral home.
