Marvin Leon Anderton of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 12, 1940 in Sheridan the son of Josie Whitaker Anderton and the late Louis Anderton. He was a graduate of Sheridan High School Class of 1958 and he retired from the Navy having served in Vietnam.

Mr. Anderton died May 16, 2006 at his home at the age of 66.

Daughter, Collet Bennett of Kansas City, Kansas;
Mother, Josie Anderton of Sheridan;
Brothers, Harold Anderton of Malvern; Garland Anderton of Sheridan; Dwight Anderton of Pine Bluff; Delbert Anderton of Sheridan;
Sister, Alice Webb of Bartlett, Tennessee;
8 grandchildren

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 20, 2006 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home
with Rev. Al Michael, Phil Whitaker and Jim Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery. Visitation: 5-7 PM Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Bill Draper, Jerry Crouse, Jerry Humphries, W.A. Winston, Virgil Swilling and Elbert Ray Woodard. Honorary pallbearers are Archie Mosley, Eddie Romine, Bobby Anderton, Jon Paul Anderton, Ricky Anderton, Matthew Webb and Kirk Anderton.
