Marvin Dale Roberts of Prattsville, Arkansas was born July 1, 1954 in Malvern, the son of the late Bennie Ray and Dorothy Hathcock Roberts. He had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict and was a graduate of Prattsville High School, Class of 1972. He was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville. He enjoyed telling stories, was an avid collector and was a Donald Trump supporter.

Marvin died Sunday, March 24, 2024 at the John L. McClellan Veterans Hospital in Little Rock at the age of 69.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Sue Roberts; and a grandson, Lawson Lewis.

Survivors: daughters, Melanie Latham (Joe) of Sherwood, Crystal Taylor (Tim) of Sheridan, Alissa Minchew (Dayton) of Prattsville; brother, Eddie Roberts (Trish) of Bismarck; sisters, Benna Williams (Dennis) of Hot Springs, Belva Bailey of Malvern; companion, Betty Wright of Prattsville; grandchildren, Michaela Murphy, Logan Taylor, Dalton Taylor, Zachary Hager; great grandchild, Jayden and a host of extended family members and friends.

Funeral service will be Friday, March 29, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville. Burial will follow at Jacob Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M.

Pallbearers are Dayton Minchew, Tim Taylor, Joe Latham, Logan Taylor, Dalton Taylor and Zachary Taylor. Honorary pallbearer is Michaela Murphy.
