Mary Louise Ashley of Little Rock, Arkansas was born March 15, 1931 in Little Rock the daughter of the late Dave McConnell and Dora McConnell. She was a member of East End Baptist Church.

She was an avid fisherman and loved camping at DeGray Lake. She was also an avid Razorback fan and always had her brackets ready for the Sweet 16. Her joy for reading was passed down to the entire family. She had a sweet voice and gentle touch that made everyone around her feel truly blessed. Mothers loving spirit and kind heart will be with us forever.

Mary died Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Arkansas Hospice in Little Rock at the age of 85.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, one great grandson, three sisters, and one brother.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Eddie M. Ashley and her children, Jean Ann Burkhalter (Mark), Wanda Jane Luckey (Donald), Delores June Wells (Ronnie), David Monroe Ashley (Jill), Rebecca Lynette Carroll (Shannon); 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 15, 2016 at East End Baptist Church with Bro. Doug Hibbard and Bro. Paul Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in East End.

Visitation will be at the church on Thursday, from 6-8 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Cemetery, c/o Richard Wilkerson, 3413 Lorance Drive, Little Rock, AR 72206.

Pallbearers are Ben Wells, Michael Wells, Eddie Ashley, Josh Bennett, Chris Luckey and Jacob Davis.
