Obituary

Mary Frisby Freeman was born on Aug. 31, 1937, to her parents Lawson Lee Frisby and Othel Lee Fitch Frisby. At the time of her passing Mary lived with her daughter Tina Brown and husband Andy in Sheridan, AR. Mary is proceeded in death by both of her parents, three brothers (Walter, Donald and Gary), four sisters (Lois Laverne, Vertia Mae Smith, Linda Robbins, and DeLois Pannell). Mary is survived by her brothers (Robert Frisby (Myrtle) of Many, LA., Lamar Frisby (Theresa) of Bastrop, LA. Four sisters, (Earlene Herring of Hamburg AR., Dianne Barthol (I.V. Jr.) of Oakridge, LA., Shirley West (Owens) of Jones, LA., and Sharon Mayo (Bobby Jr.) of Jones, LA). Mary is survived by her daughter Tina Brown (Andy) of Sheridan, AR., and her son Michael Sepulvado of Decatur, AL. At the time of her passing, Mary had six grandchildren (Chelsea Keating (Joshua), Nicholas Sepulvado (Carli), Nolan Sepulvado, Trenton Thomas, Kirsten Thomas, and Jesse Brown). Seven great-grandchildren (Aiden Sepulvado, Sara Sepulvado, Brooklyn Sepulvado, Logan Sepulvado, Zoey Keating, Felicity Ivey and Serinity Brown). Mary was also known as "Aunt Mary "to a host of nieces and nephews. Over the course of Mary's life, she worked 27-plus years as a CNA at several different Nursing homes caring for others as was her passion. Oak Woods in Mer Rouge, LA. was the longest residency, and all that she cared for were like her family. Mary loved the outdoors and could hunt, fish and trap as well as anyone. She had a green thumb when it came to planting flowers and a garden. As her children grew and had families of their own, Mary moved to Toledo Bend, LA to be near her brother Robert her sister in-law Myrtle, and her father Lawson. Later, Mary's sister Vertia Mae and her husband Travis moved there later as well. It was like a little community of "Frisby's "@ the bend. Eventually Lawson (daddy) was getting on in age and soon became ill and could no longer care for himself, so Mary, Mae, along with others took care of him until his passing in 2010. Mary eventually moved away as did the other family members. Mary moved in with her daughter Tina and soon needed the care that she had given so lovingly to others. Mary Frisby Freeman loved her family dearly, never met a stranger and had a heart of pure gold. For all who ever met her, they were the better for it. Now Heaven has called her home where she will never again suffer from the pain and heartaches of this world. She is HOME.  Graveside services will be Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 2:00 PM at La-Ark Cemetery in Jones, Louisiana.
