Mary Louella Hughes Davis of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 8, 1922 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the daughter of the late William and Emma Harris Hughes. Mrs. Davis was member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist and a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and sister.

Mrs. Davis died Thursday, September 14, 2006 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 83.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hansford Davis; son, James A. "Buzz" Davis; sister, Billie Jean Hughes and great granddaughter Marissa Jade Davis.

Sisters, Vivian Hughes of Fort Worth, Texas;
Reba Torres of Pine Bluff;
Anna Robinson of Little Rock;
Doris Hughes of Little Rock;

18 Grandchildren; 27 Great grandchildren

Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Sunday, September 17, 2006 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Allen Haygood and Bro. Brad Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Center Campground Cemetery in the Prague Community. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation will be Saturday 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
