Mary Ellen Martin Butler of Mabelvale, Arkansas was born Christmas Day 1934, to the late Corbet and Elsie Martin in Rosie, Arkansas. She was a member of New Hope Nazarene Church in Landmark. She loved her church and spending time with her family. She was a breast cancer survivor.

Mrs. Butler passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at her home at the age of 82.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Burchfield; sons, Jim Burchfield and Jackie Butler; and grandsons, Luke and Aaron Burchfield; and her sister, Patsy Wyatt.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Don Butler; son, Jerry Butler (Tami); daughters, Julie Walters (Horace), Janice Calaway (Byron), Tina Gulutzo (Steve), Janie Moore (Kelly), and JoAnn Butler (Gavin); 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at New Hope Nazarene Church in Landmark with Bro. George Yarberry and Bro Ralph Nelson officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. at Kyler Cemetery in Batesville. Visitation will be 5:00–7:00 P.M. Monday at the church.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
