Mary Jeanne Aikin McJunkins of Leola, Arkansas was born November 19, 1939 in Newton, Iowa, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Anna Marie Stanton Aikin. She was a member of Leola United Methodist Church and had been a bookkeeper and owner of Mom's Health Food Store for many years. She enjoyed going to Sr. Citizens Center, gardening, helping others and her grandchildren.

Ms. McJunkins died July 17, 2024 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton at the age of 84.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gene McJunkins; brother, James Akin; sisters, Margaret Vasseau, Dorothy Hitchcock; father and mother-in-law, Rilza and JD McJunkins and a son-in-law, Darrell Lemons.

Survivors: sons, Richard Gene McJunkins of Leola, Mike McJunkins (Danya) of Leola; daughters, Wanda Baldwin (Mark) of Malvern, Donna Lemons-Long (Lavern) of Oden; brothers, Charles Aikin of Nacogdoches, Texas, Raymond Aikin of Colfax, Iowa, Kendall Aikin of Monroe Iowa; sisters, Linda Aikin of Independence, Missouri, Rita Maston of Killduff, Iowa and 14 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday July 21, 2024 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Gifford and Bro. Nikita Lemons officiating.   Burial will follow at Brush Creek Cemetery near Leola. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
