Mary Lucille Hill Wheless of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 17, 1928 at Buckner, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Loyd and Onie Parker Hill. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan and was a homemaker. Mary loved making memories with her family and was an excellent cook, especially her fried chicken and fried pies.

Mrs. Wheless died Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 82. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude W. Wheless and her brother, Loyd B. Hill, Jr.

Survivors: Son, Joey Wheless and wife Barbara;
Daughter, Vicky O'Steen and husband Garry;
Grandchildren, Wendy and husband Brandon Cummings and Kevin and wife Maranda O'Steen; Great grandchildren, Madison, Hannah, and Garrett Cummings and Graycee and Gunner O'Steen; all of Sheridan.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 20, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Walton and Bro. Odell Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday. Memorials may be made the donor's favorite charity.

Pallbearers are Franklin Pumphrey, Ray Vance, Ronnie Wheless, Hal Wheless, Paul Wilson and Curtis Gladish.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Brad Baltz, Dr. Rhonda Gentry, Dr. Susan Delap, all the staff at H.O.S.A., especially Ginger, and the 10-A nursing staff at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
