Mary Brown Vailes Wood of Sheridan, Arkansas was born April 12, 1937 at Lake Dick, Arkansas the daughter of the late Melvin Brown and Maudie Cotton Boyd. She was a member of Sheridan Pentecostal Church of God at Sheridan and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Wood died March 15, 2010 at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center at Little Rock at the age of 72.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father, Roy H. Boyd, her husbands, David Vailes and Jack Wood.

22 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday , March 17, 2010 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Odell Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow at Rhodes Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Bobby Gill, Matt Gill, David Marsh, Keith Crutchfield, Tommy Williams and Sean Adamson. Honorary pallbearers are John David Heird and Tyler Adamson.
