Matthew Raymond Chesser of Sheridan, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Friday, April 18, 2008 at the age of 30. He was born October 1, 1977 at Dermott. He was a member of East Union Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed with Union Pacific Railroad.

Matthew was a 2000 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He was an avid sportsman and huge Razorback fan like his PaPaw Chesser. He was formerly a member of Arkansas National Guard and a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. His proudest accomplishment was being a husband and daddy.

Matthew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Betty F. Chesser.

Survivors include his wife, Kami Lynn Patrick Chesser who he married August 12, 2000 and two daughters, Kaitlyn Beth ,age 7, and Madelyn Claire Chesser, age 2 all of the home; parents, Buddy and Paula Chesser of Monticello; brother, Drew Steven Chesser of Conway; maternal grandparents, Dr. Major and Margaret Smith of Dermott.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at East Union Missionary Baptist Church in East End with Bro. Paul Roberts officiating. Burial at Rowell Cemetery in Cleveland County. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Drew Chesser, Clay Patrick, Josh Courson, Chris Courson, Grayson Lindley, Brad Wimpy and Jason Hobbs. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Courson, Roger Maddox, Josh Maddox, Coby Dailey and Lane Dailey.
