Maudie Cotton Boyd of Sheridan, Arkansas was born March 12, 1914 at England, Arkansas the daughter of the late Charles Jordan and Alvis Rhodes Cotton. She was a founding member of the Sheridan Pentecostal Church of God and a retired nurses aide.

Mrs. Boyd died Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at the Hot Spring County Hospital in Malvern at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Boyd and daughters Martha Wortham and Alvis Alice Brown: Brothers; Jordan, Henry, James and Frank Cotton: Sisters; Lizzie Heird, Laura Heird, Jessie Hollingshead, Beatrice Ross and Mary Mae Heird.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 14, 2004 at 10:30 A. M at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Odell Lindsey and Bro. Buddy Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Rhodes Cemetery at Sheridan. Visitation: 5-7 P.M. Friday. Arrangements by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan (870)942-1306.
