Obituary

Maxilee Mackey Williams of Sheridan and Prattsville, Arkansas was born May 13, 1936 at Arkansas Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, a daughter of the late B. Frank and Maxie Walker Mackey. She died Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton after a long illness.

Maxilee was very active in the First United Methodist Church of Sheridan where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. She has served on the Grant County Democratic Committee, loved to quilt, was an avid gardener and was an excellent cook. She was also a very active member of the Saline Memorial Hospital Auxiliary where she was a faithful volunteer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Williams.

Jane W. Blaylock of Benton;
Son, John Patrick Williams and wife Janet of Benton;
Grandchildren, Megan Maxie Boyd and husband Jon of Little Rock and Andrew Williams Stinson of Conway;
Brother, B. Frank Mackey, Jr. of New York City;
Sister, Mary Frances Phillips of Hot Springs;

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 3:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in Sheridan with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
