Obituary

Mary Maxine Middleton Ashcraft, of Kensett, Arkansas, formerly of Grapevine, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 7, 2014. She passed away at White County Hospital Searcy, Arkansas surrounded by her family. Born on September 9, 1921, she lived most all of her 92 years Grapevine, with her late husband, Athel Ashcraft, who passed away November 20, 2012.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Pearl Middleton, two brothers, Wilmer and Lowell Middleton and one sister, Pauline Brewer. Left To cherish her memory is one brother, Junior and wife Jessie Middleton of Traskwood.

She is survived by her five children and spouses: Nelda and James Freshour of Grapevine, Don and Doris Ashcraft of Eldorado; Freda and Don Carter of Benton; Judy and Jim Nelms of Kensett; and Faye Ashcraft of Kensett. Maxine was a proud grandmother of twelve grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren, and seventeen great great grandchildren.

She also leaves a host of other relatives, friends and personal family friend and a part-time caregiver, Thelma Watson. She will be greatly missed by all. Maxine was a Christian and a member of Hedden Chapel Assembly of God Church in Grapevine.

A celebration of her life will be given by her children and grandchildren at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 10, 2014 at Hedden Chapel Assembly of God Church in Grapevine. A message will be given by her son. Pallbearers are her grandsons, a great grandson, and grandson-in-law. Burial will follow in Hedden Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, 2:00-4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
