Obituary

Maxine Hurst McElroy of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 18, 1928 at Rison, the daughter of the late Ed and Jewel Sloop Hurst. She was a very active member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Married Adults Sunday School Class, was a member of the Shiloh Ladies Auxillary, and was serving committee chairman for many years. She served the Lord faithfully, even sending church bulletins with personal notes included to the sick and shut-in of the Church. She had worked in the Sheridan School cafeteria and retired from West Bend. "MawMaw Mac" was so proud of her family who she loved with all her heart.

Mrs. McElroy died Friday, April 21, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by an infant Son; a Daughter, Janis Davis; Grandson, Brent McElroy; her Husband, Wilbur McElroy and a Granddaughter-in-law, Micah Myers.

Margie Pennington of Rison

Grandchildren: Brandon and Emily McElroy, Angel and Barry Hollinger, Phil Myers, Brian and Cathy McElroy, Lindsey and Wayne Harris, Mandy McElroy, Denny and Stacey Allen, Jason and LeAnn Roshto, Jon and Randi Ashcraft, Martin Davis, Zach Davis.

Great Grandchildren: Courtney Allen, Brianna McElroy, Priscilla Roshto, Bailey Ashcraft, Kylie McElroy, Ranelle Allen, Haley Myers, Brodie McElroy, Cameron Grace Roshto, Joshua Hollinger.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Grandsons-in-law. Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Lee Young, Dub Allen, Billy Joe Nichols, Laronne Gartman, Ed Rutherford, Lawrence Lybrand, Roy Harrington.

Memorials may be made to Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Sheridan, Arkansas.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 24, 2006 at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel at Sheridan with Bro. Danny Hill and Bro. George Knickerbocker officiating. Burial will be at Grapevine Cemetery. Visitation: 4-7 P.M. Sunday.
