Melba Imagene Bunch Laster of Landmark Community was born June 12, 1928 at Belfast, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Fred and Bessie Page Bunch.  She was a faithful member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church for over 60 years.  She retired from Timex Corporation after 30 years of service. She enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, and canning.  Without a doubt, her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted Mom and Nana, and she leaves a rich legacy of love and laughter.

Mrs. Laster died Saturday, October 23, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospice, at the age of 93.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Jean Whitaker; granddaughter, Stephanie Laster; brothers, Milton Bunch, Jack Bunch, Wayne Bunch, J.D. Bunch; sisters, Vera Dennis, Betty Moran.

Survivors include her sons, Carlton Laster (Kathy) and Keith Laster; son-in-law, Phil Whitaker; daughter-in-law, Connie Laster; six grandchildren, Jeremy Laster (Lyndsey), Jason Laster, Jill Laster Hall (Nathan), Tiffany Wolfenbarger, Ashley Smith (Bodie), Brooke Prickett (Justin), Katie Hanson; nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church (17201 Arch Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72206) with Bro. David Robinson and Bro. Roy Matlock officiating.  Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery near Sheridan.  Visitation is Wednesday, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
