Meredith J. Benning of Prattsville, Arkansas was born April 16, 1948 in Malvern, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Betty Jean Crawford Benning. She was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville and a 1969 graduate of Prattsville High School, where she was a star basketball player. She enjoyed fishing, camping, playing games, doing word searches and playing bingo at the nursing home.

Meredith died Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab at the age of 70.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Lee Benning.

Survivors: brother, Frank (Pam) Benning of Prattsville; nieces and nephews, Quentin Spurlock, Dena (Mark) Jennings, Rodney (Renee) Benning, Audra (Shane) Davidson, Jennifer (Todd) Burrow and a host of extended family members, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shawn Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. until service time.

Pallbearers are Rodney Benning, Ross Plunkett, Mark Jennings, Shane Davidson, Todd Burrow and Melvin Masters.
