Michael Hugh Carraway of Sheridan, Arkansas was born March 16, 1961 at Clarksdale, Mississippi, the son of the late Hugh W. and Joyce Taylor Carraway. He was a member of Poyen Assembly of God Church, and was the Assistant Director of Administrative Services for the Arkansas Department of Corrections. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a skilled marksman. He was also a big baseball fan, and the only team he liked better than the St. Louis Cardinals, was any team his son Noah was playing on, and he wouldn't miss a game that he played. He was an extremely generous person and would help anyone, any way that he could. The greatest joy of his life was being Noah's dad, and he was so proud God had blessed him with such a good son.
Mr. Carraway died Saturday, December 17, 2016, after a sudden illness, at the age of 55.
Survivors include his son, Noah Carraway of Sheridan; brothers, Steve Carraway of Springfield, Ohio and Richard Carraway and wife Jessica of Newport, Arkansas; sister, Cindy Crouch and husband David of Columbus, Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
