Michael Andrew Gerety of Leola, Arkansas was born October 10, 1912 at Lilly, Louisiana the son of the late Thomas M. And Lula Johnson Gerety. He was a member of the Leola Missionary Baptist Church, was a Mason, a World War II Army Veteran and was retired from commercial construction.

Mr. Gerety died May 10, 2005 at the Sheridan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 92. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tommie Ethel Wright Gerety.

Sons: Tommie Dean and wife Irvena Gerety of Sheridan;
Michael Edward and wife Betty Faye Gerety of Pensacola, Florida;

Grandchildren: Carolyn Hardy and Mark Gerety;
4 Great Grandchildren

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 12, 2005 at the Leola Missionary Baptist Church in Leola with Rev. Johnie Brewster officiating. Visitation: Wednesday, 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
