Michael Zade Grindstaff, Jr. of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 4, 1952 at Rocky Mount, Virginia, the son of the late Michael Grindstaff, Sr. and Edna Martin Grindstaff. He previously served in the United States Army National Guard and was retired Construction Supervisor. He was a diehard New York Yankees fan, and also enjoyed NASCAR. His greatest joy was spending time with his "Angel", as he called her, his wife Marianne, and his granddaughters.

Mr. Grindstaff died Friday, April 16, 2021 at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 68. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Cole Grindstaff.

Survivors include his wife, Marianne Grindstaff of Sheridan; step-daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Ricky Sheeks of Benton; brother, Todd Grindstaff of Rocky Mount, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Davy Mitchell of Penhook, Virginia; grandchildren, Elye Grindstaff, Kyla Harvey, Jersie Sheeks; nephew and nieces, Chas (Jessica) Mitchell, Whitney (Casey) Eanes, Huntley Grindstaff; 5 great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Grindstaff Cemetery in Rocky Mount, Virginia.
