Michael Lee Smith of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 11, 1959 in Shakamak, Indiana, the son of the late Richard L. and Rosella Shiley Smith. He served in the United States Navy and was a tool maker at Kohler. Michael enjoyed traveling on his motorcycle, working with his hands and raising cattle.

Michael died August 3, 2018 at his home at the age of 59. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his friend, Wayne Harrington.

He is survived by a daughter, Halee Smith; fiancé, Sherry Wages; sons, Jeremy Smith, Corey Smith, Brad Hampton, and Brian Hampton; step-sons, Asa (Rebecca) McAlister and Corey (Brittney) McAlister; 11 grandchildren; and a special friend, Skeeter Flory.

Services will be private.
