Michael McCulley, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 76. He was born on August 21, 1949, in Tooele, Utah, and his life was marked by dedication, strength, and an unwavering love for Jesus and his family. Michael had a distinguished military career, serving three years in the United States Marine Corps and another three years in the United States Army. He was a Vietnam Veteran, embodying the true spirit of loyalty and service, even in the years and decades following his service directly affecting his health, he was still proud to have served his country.
Professionally, Michael had many jobs but had retired from working in building maintenance at the Catlett Prien Tower Building in Little Rock, Arkansas. His skills as an HVAC technician and mechanic were well respected, showcasing his hands-on ability to fix and build. Known for being a simple man who told it like it was Michael’s sincerity resonated with everyone who knew him. What you saw was what you got; he was genuine and forthright, earning the admiration.
Outside of work, Michael had a passion for the great outdoors, enjoying both hunting and fishing, activities that reflected his appreciation for nature. Even when his body was failing him, he found ways to be able to keep his passion for hunting. He was also a skilled craftsman, taking pride in his ability to build just about anything, even crafting all the furniture for his and Jewel's home. Michael also had a great passion for his lord and savior Jesus Christ, he is now home.
Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Jewel McCulley, with whom he shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Michael (Zaklina) McCulley and Charity McCulley, along with his brother, Chuck McCulley, and sister, Wynn M. Holland, as well as his three grandchildren Tatjana, Miles, and Ella.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orvis Greene, mother, Helen King, stepfather, Charles McCulley and his sisters Sherry, Dawn and Debbie. The legacy of love and straightforwardness that Michael leaves behind will forever resonate with those who knew him, especially within his cherished family.
A memorial service will be held with military honors on Saturday March 21, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Family Church in White Hall.
