Mickey Reed Harrington of the Landmark Community, near Little Rock, was born July 14, 1926 at Hardy, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Dan F. Reed, Sr. and Ivy M. Hills Reed. She was a charter member of Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan. She was the first pianist for the church and worked in many different areas of service within the church. She had formerly been employed by Grant County Bank as Assistant Cashier. Mickey loved being outside enjoying the beauty of God's creation. She especially loved feeding and watching her birds and was active for a number of years in raising Arabian horses.
Mrs. Harrington died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock at the age of 83. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Harrington Pugh and her brother, Dan F. Reed, Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Hosea Harrington of Landmark Community; Nephew: Johnny Reed of Sheridan; Nieces: Susan Cox of Fort Smith and Patricia Williams of Marion.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan with Bro. Gary Copeland officiating. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 P.M Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery. Memorials may be made of Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 206 East Holly, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
