Mickie LeighAnn  May of Sheridan, Arkansas was born June 24, 1967 in Benton, Arkansas, the daughter of Josephine Elaine Mears Carter and the late Freddie Lee May. She was a graduate of Sheridan High School Class of 1985, and a member of First Landmark Baptist Church. She was a registered nurse and she enjoyed watching football, softball, going on road trips with her friends, and spending time with her family and people she could take care of.

Mickie died Monday, October 21, 2024 at her home at the age of 57.

She was preceded in death by her father, Freddie Lee May: grandparents: Bertha May, Dow May, Blanche Gregory, Joseph Mears and an infant son Chaz Tyler Stane.

Survivors: son, Bodie Stane of Jonesboro, his father, John Stane; sisters, Vickie (Mark) Ray of Sheridan, Buffie (Mike) Mayo of Little Rock; mother and step-father, Jo and Willie Carter of Sheridan; nephews, Tanner Ray, Hayden (Allison) Ray, Tyler (Jalynn) Mayo, Spencer Mayo and extended family members including great nieces, great nephews, and many friends.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan. Visitation is from 9:00 until service time. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan.

Pallbearers are Hayden Ray, Spencer Mayo, Bradley Stane, Colby Smothers, Tanner Ray, and Tyler Boatright.
