Lacy Nadine Emberton Vanhoozer, 73, of Sheridan, Arkansas was born June 17, 1933 in Jefferson County, the daughter of the late Walter and Lura May Smith Emberton. She died April 8, 2007 at the Southridge Nursing And Rehabilitation Center in Heber Springs, Arkansas.

Nadine was a lifelong mother and friend to her six children. She was a singer at any and all church services she attended. Everyone will remember her smile and laugh. She had attended the Family Church in White Hall.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Calvin Vanhoozer, Sr.

Survivors: Son, R. C. Vanhoozer, Jr. of Jonesboro;

Five Daughters and son-in-laws, Jewel Dean and Mike McCulley of Little Rock,
Connie May and Danny Schoggin of Greers Ferry; Pamela Sue and Don Pierce of Sheridan; Cendie and Gerry Thomas of Pine Bluff; Karen and Greg Miller of Knoxville, Tennessee;

Brothers, Calvin Emberton and Glenn Emberton both of Sheridan;

Sisters, Elizabeth Brown of Decatur, Alabama and Oleta Allen of Kansas City, Kansas.

15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan. Private burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Bobby Vanhoozer, Justin Vanhoozer, Shawn Vanhoozer, Jason Daniel Pierce, Zachary Thomas and Donnie Logan.
