Nancy McBee Harter of Sheridan, was born January 15, 1950 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of the late Elsa Victor and Ollie Mae Smith McBee. She was a member of Sheridan First Assembly of God Church and had previously owned The Sunshine House Daycare. She had also worked for years at the Mentoring Center and after retirement she worked at Wal Mart. She enjoyed reading, playing piano and violin, caring for animals, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Ms. Harter died on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at The Retreat at Kenwood in Texarkana, Texas at the age of 73.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Joe Kory Harter and Adam Lucas Harter.
Survivors: daughters, Natasha (Aaron) Bray of Texarkana, AR, Tammy (John) Dunderdale of Sheridan; brother, Jerry McBee of Tallahassee, Florida; sisters, Linda Cobb of McKinney, TX, Donna Moore of Seabrook, TX; 6 grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Derek) Mobley, Samantha Erb, Olivia Dowd, Bailey Dowd, Katelyn (Tyler) Ramey, Colten Dunderdale; 4 great grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends.
Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 20, 2023 at Rhodes Cemetery with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
