Obituary

Natalie Chennault Wisely of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 19, 1935 at Lonsdale, Arkansas the daughter of the late Truman and Bonnie Grant Chennault.  She was a very loyal and active member of Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church for many years.  Through her years at Lost Creek, she taught the Ladies Sunday Class #1, assisted with providing meals, used her talents as a seamstress, supported her husband who was minister of music for many years, and untold other needs she helped meet throughout her church.  One of her greatest God-given gifts was truly her servant's heart and her gentle smile and heartfelt welcome to members and visitors alike.   Her life exemplified what a true Christian should be and she leaves a legacy of humble service to prove it.  She graduated high school from Fountain Lake High School.  Knowing she wanted to pursue a career in education, she attended Henderson State Teacher's College and later furthered her degree at UALR.  Her teaching career began at Altheimer, then Tinsman, and the majority of her career was teaching at Sheridan.  Her interests included gardening (and sharing her produce with others), sewing, crocheting, and keeping her mind sharp with puzzles, wordsearches and she was a voracious reader.

Her love for others, and especially for Jesus, makes her homegoing so much easier, knowing she's where she longed to be.

Mrs. Wisely died Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Arbor Oaks Healthcare and Rehab in Malvern, at the age of 89.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Wisely and her sister, Emma Sue Glass.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Sharen Wisely of North Little Rock; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Tony Byrd of Poyen; grandchildren, Jared Wisely, Autumn Henry, Kristin Daniel; great grandchildren, Christian Schumacher, Grayson Henry, Addison Henry, Bryce Daniel, Charlotte Daniel.  She is also survived by other extended family members, many friends and her Lost Creek Church family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan with Bro. Kenneth Click and Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating.  Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery.  Visitation is also Thursday, 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the church.
