Natha Lee Shoptaw Stuckey of Prattsville, Arkansas was born February 26, 1926 in the Belfast Community of Grant County, the daughter of the late Walter Roy and Elby Bennings Shoptaw. She was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville.
Natha Lee enjoyed quilting with her friends, crocheting, traveling, and spending time with her family.
For many years she was known as the Avon Lady but also was commonly known as "Sweet & Low" when she worked at the Whippet Restaurant.
Ms. Stuckey passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton at the age of 91.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Lawrence Stuckey, whom she married August 28, 1943; brothers, Don Shoptaw, and Lewis Shoptaw.
Survivors: sons, Anthony Stuckey and Clara Farr of Little Rock; Tim and wife Brenda Stuckey of Sheridan; grandchildren, Jeremy and wife Amy Stuckey; Hayden Stuckey and her mother Peggy Stuckey; great grandchildren, Kyler and Kynlee Stuckey; Clara's sons, Alex and Aric; sisters, Doris Reynolds of Benton, Bernice Heaton of Germantown, Tennessee; brother-in-law, J. L. Stuckey and wife Lorena of Sheridan; sister-in-law, Martha Shoptaw of Little Rock a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Goodman officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Jeremy Stuckey, Alex Farr, Clarence (Poodle) Bennings, Gary Shoptaw, Larry Reynolds and Gary Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers are Kyler Stuckey, AJ Goodman, DJ Wallace and Rick Ashley.
