Netha Ann Jones, born the seventh of March, 1941, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday , the eleventh of April, 2022 in Sheridan, Arkansas. She was surrounded by family when she took her final breath on earth and transcended into the arms of Christ. She passed sweetly in her sleep at 81 years of age.

Netha loved to be with her family. She could be found at any gathering laughing, talking with loved ones, and enjoying life. At home, she could be found in her yard, caring for her flowers, birds, or relaxing on the porch enjoying the moment.

She dearly loved her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. There was no doubt family was her most prized asset. She loved to laugh, have wholesome conversations, and was known for her quick wit. She was known as the matriarch and the stronghold of her family. Her loves in life included: Jesus, fishing, fried chicken, Lake Ouachita, fresh fruit, lemon slushes from Sonic, springtime, country music, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. A good joke was never lost on Netha and while she possessed an old, wise soul, she had the glimmer in her eye of a child. Her spirit will deeply and dearly be missed.

Other than her mother, Arrie Davenport and father, Paul Davenport, Netha is proceeded in her death by: sisters: Reba Beck, Bobbie June Windham, Louise Pyrtle, brother: Tony Davenport, and son, Darrell Scott Shoptaw.

She is survived by her husband, Jackson "Mac" Jones, daughter, Renee Donaldson (Joey), son, Christopher Jones(Kim), sisters: Linda Davenport and Rachel Thompson, brothers: Danny Davenport and Dean (Susan) Davenport, grandchildren: Amanda McNair (Jeremy), Sarah Vestal, John Vestal, Stephen Vestal, Samantha Jones, and Brian Mullen, great grandkids: Jackson McNair and Anniston McNair.

Graveside service will be April 14, 2022, Thursday at 12:00 Noon at Poe Cemetery near Sheridan with Bro. Tommy Jones officiating.

Pallbearers are Robert Purtle, Steve Threlkeld, Jake Davenport, Jerry Windham, Charlie Tucker, Charlie Jack Tucker, and Aaron Threlkeld

Though she may have left us in the flesh, her spirit will long bind her family together as an everlasting embrace.
