Obituary
Nita Sawyer Brown of Sheridan, Arkansas died Monday, November 28, 2016 at her home at the age of 92.
She was born in New Hope, North Carolina on December 15, 1923, the daughter of the late Jesse A. and Nita S. Banks Sawyer. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Brown, their son, John Randall Brown and her three brothers, Ralph, Marshall and Jean Sawyer.
She was a member of Sheridan Church of Christ. She enjoyed singing, sewing, knitting, reading, and watching golf and baseball on TV.
She is survived by her daughters, Diana Brown, Annette and husband Kenny Sites, all of Sheridan, Ramona Williams of North Little Rock, Tami Ringo of Sheridan; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and her granddog, Maddie.
Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Salem Cemetery in East End. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arkansas Food Bank, 4301 West 65th Street, Little Rock, AR 72209 or Sheridan Church of Christ, c/o Tom Warmack, 613 Gary Lane, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
