Norma Jean Hester Culpepper of Sheridan, Arkansas was born March 10, 1947 near Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Henry and Ruby Jones Hester. She attended Meadowview Baptist Church, and had previously worked at West Bend, Sterling Faucet, and Walmart in Sheridan. Norma enjoyed going to yard sales, and fishing. Her greatest joy was making memories with her family. She loved her family with all her heart, and was dedicated to each one of them.

Mrs. Culpepper died Friday, December 4, 2020 at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, at the age of 73. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William P. "Bud" Hester and Irvin Eugene Hester; sisters, Josephine Beard and Bonnie Winningham.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Norris Culpepper of Sheridan; her loyal dog, Peanut; sons, Norris Alan Culpepper and Bryan Thomas Culpepper, both of Sheridan; grandchildren, Colbi Culpepper and Brittany Culpepper; sisters, Imogene Taylor, Sharon Peacock, and Dortha McClelland and an aunt Shelda Austin. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and many, many friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan, with Bro. Micah McKinley officiating. There will be no visitation.
