Oma Brewer Reed of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 16, 1929, the daughter of the late Elsie Brewer Carr. Mrs. Reed graduated from Sheridan High School in 1947. She later moved to Dallas, Texas in 1950, where she lived until she returned to Sheridan in 1992. She attended First United Methodist Church in Sheridan, formerly worked as a draftsman for Collins Radio and retired from Frito Lay. Her hobbies included bowling, fishing, gardening, needlepoint, hunting and crossword puzzles.

Mrs. Reed died Monday, December 31, 2012 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 83. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harrison Pink Brewer and Lavada Drucilla Bratton Brewer.

Her daughter, Dru Reed of Sheridan (formerly of Dallas, Texas) survives her.

There will be no services held. Recognizing her love for birds, memorials may be made to the National Audobon Society ( www.audobon.org ).
